We want to attract and hone the best talent, and that’s why we’ve developed a programme with two distinct streams that provide opportunities for the next generation of leaders. We also believe that the greater the diversity in a company, the greater chance you have of being successful. Therefore, when we’re looking for future leaders, we hire from a range of backgrounds where different ideas and views mean better solutions and more informed decisions.
The programme starts at the beginning of September, and both streams include a series of six-month rotations in various disciplines which will allow you to explore some of our offices in Bournemouth, Marlow, Stevenage, Wimborne. The recruitment and selection process includes an online application, video interview, online test, telephone conference call and a visit to one of our assessment centres.
Where you are placed in the UK depends on your career aspirations and what stream you decide to follow, but wherever you go with us you’ll find support, development opportunities, regular reviews and frequent training sessions. And unlike other graduate programmes, you’ll be given rotations across all business areas, so you can completely understand Cobham and decide where your strengths lie.
Throughout the programme, you'll have regular performance and development reviews with your assignment manager. You'll also be given a mentor who will provide personal and professional support, and a development log that will help you keep track of your progress. And if you want to gain a relevant professional qualification, such as a chartered status, we'll support you all the way. At the end of the programme, our graduates move into full-time roles and you'll have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position anywhere within the business. Where you end up is up to you, but in a company as diverse as ours, you'll always have interesting opportunities. What’s more, every placement you take part in will be vastly different from the others, and there’ll never be any doubt that the work you’re doing is adding significant value to the company.
You also need at least 300 UCAS points and a minimum 2.1 undergraduate degree. We’re interested in graduates from any degree discipline that requires the analysis and manipulation of large amounts of quantitative data, but a degree in a subject like Geography or English could also prove useful. Regardless of your degree focus, we're looking for enthusiasm, an innovative spirit and the kind of big ideas that will help shape the future of Cobham and make a difference in the communities we work in. In return, you’ll have the chance to show us what you can do right from day one, as well as plenty of executive exposure in order to give you the skills you need to become a future leader.
