Data is one of our most important assets - In Data & Analytics, it’s our job to find ways to harness it so we can understand trends, get under the skin of our business and truly uncover the needs of our customers.
We promote the intelligent use of data and make sure it’s used in the right way - our mission’s to make sure we support the bank’s decisions with the highest quality data and analysis. In our new data science and innovation lab, we’re constantly finding creative ways to use data to solve our core challenges.

About the Data Analytics Graduate Scheme
Our two year programme will equip you with the skills and experiences you’ll need to become a leading data expert and, you’ll learn how we’re using data to drive changes and improvements in our customer experiences.
Our graduates focus on helping different parts of our business put data at the core of their decision making so we make well informed, data driven decisions.
During the programme you can look forward to:
• Learning the technical skills needed to succeed as an analyst
• Interrogating, interpreting and visualising large volumes of data
• Learning how to articulate complex situations and technical work to non technical stakeholders
• Driving the use of data to ensure better customer engagement
• Developing confidence, influencing and stakeholder management skills
The programme begins with an in-depth induction, where you’ll get to know fellow graduates and learn about our customers and how business generally operates.
You’ll move through four, six month rotations with different teams in Data & Analytics so, wherever you’re placed, variety’s the key.
From day one, you’ll have a wide network of dedicated people to support you, including a line manager, placement manager, mentor and a buddy. They’ll be with you, every step of the way, to answer your questions, help build your professional network and support you in your career development.
You’ll be rewarded with a starting salary of £31,850 a year
On completing the programme you’ll be well placed to take on a permanent role with us, opening the door to roles including:
- Data analyst
- Data scientist
- Data engineer
To be eligible for this programme you’ll need to be on course for, or already have a 2:1 degree.
