We have an exciting opportunity for a management trainee within our IT family starting in September 2020. This will be based in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.
What’s the role?
Being a management trainee within our IT team gives you a unique opportunity to access all areas of IT over two years. During the 1st year you will work across all our teams:
- Application Development (coding)
- Business Analysis
- Desktop Support
- Business Intelligence
- Hosting and Storage
- Application Support
- Database Analysis
- Project Management
- Enterprise Architecture
- Service Delivery
At the end of the 1st year you get to choose a team to specialise in! This is flexible and tailored to your interests, so if you’re not sure time can be split between multiple teams.
The management trainee scheme isn’t all about IT!
As well as the day to day work within our teams, you get to lead fundraising for a nominated charity – previous trainees organised a Christmas fun day, Easter egg hunts and a big team challenge walking across the Cotswolds (63 miles!) which included many members of the IT team. But the choice is yours, leave your mark!
Along the way you’ll get to meet the rest of the management trainee family at many events including the trainee away day (this year’s trip involved rock scrambling and abseiling!)
Sounds interesting? So, who are we looking for…?
Our management trainees come from diverse backgrounds and all have different qualifications and skills. We use these differences to drive our shared passion and enthusiasm for technology. We welcome applications from those who love getting stuck in, enabling our business to have the best IT experience possible. We want you to challenge the norm, work seamlessly within our teams and communicate brilliantly with our business.
Self-confessed Techie? Great!
Don’t have an IT degree? No problem!
Relevant experience or skills? Fantastic!
Still unsure? Why not tell us what makes you unique!
What do you get in return?
We love looking after our trainees, the benefits listed are just some of those you can expect from this role – we want you here for a lifetime after all!
- Competitive salary
- Generous annual leave entitlement
- Your birthday off! (Who wants to work on their birthday…)
- Company car / travel allowance
- Agile working
- Interest free loan
- Yearly incentive bonus
- Allowance for personal development
- Did we forget to mention Pizza day at the end of every month?
