Acturis have developer roles across a number of areas of the business.
Across the developer roles, you would be doing the following:
- Working with Business Analysts to implement changes and new features
- Working with other Developers in your team to deliver high quality code and support for the Business Analysts and Quality Analysts
- Be supported by Senior Developers
- Participate in peer code review
Across the developer roles, you will be using the following technologies/languages:
- C# and the .NET Framework
- XML
As an Integration Developer you will be:
- Supporting and developing a platform which Business Analysts configure to connect and control business processes
- Integrating different systems hosted by Acturis and various third parties
Working with additional technologies including:
- SQL and PL/SQL
- Java
- webMethods Flow
- XSLT
- Python
As a Web Developer you will be:
- Supporting and developing a web platform which Business Analysts configure to control the look, structure, and functionality of the web sites and services we provide for our clients
- Designing and building innovative new tools and solutions
Working with additional technologies including:
- ASP.NET Web Forms and ASP.NET MVC
- JavaScript
- React JS
- HTML
- Python
As a C# User Interface Developer you will be:
- Working on the main user interface to the Acturis platform, and separate internal applications to support configuration by the Business Analysts
- Working with an extended team of C# Developers based in the UK, South Africa and Poland
- Working with additional technologies including:
- WPF
- Silverlight
- XAML
- PowerShell
Requirements
The successful candidates will have the following attributes:
- At least a 2.1 in a technical subject – Computer Science, Maths, Physics, Engineering – and good A Levels
- An aptitude for applying technology and structured problem solving
- An ability to work in teams and learn quickly
- Very good attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of an object oriented development language
- Demonstrated a real interest in development by working on their own programming projects or had relevant work experience
